Unfortunately since Kixton has been born, Kevin’s Granda (Great Granda to Kixton) aka GG had been sick in the nursing home on and off. Being the silly protective new parents, we were waiting for the right time to take him. Unforgettably, we are extremely sad to report that we missed our opportunity as Granda passed away Thursday December 15th. The family gathered to pay tribute Monday and Tuesday to the amazing man he was. Kixton would have been proud to have known him, there is no question. We took Kixton to the showing and the funeral to send his GG off in prayers and he did amazing, I think he new his dad, Kevin, was upset and Kixton was the rock the family needed. I am a true believer that babies can sense things, because he was a perfect angel. Gregg and Uncle Steven gave a wonderful tribute to Gi Gi and Kixton never made a peep the entire time. He heard every word as we prepared to send Granda to heaven. The Master Mason’s gave an incredible presentation that even inspired Dad to join in honor of his Granda. We gathered all of the male generations for one final picture with Granda and made sure to tell Kixton what an amazing man stood before him. He has some serious shoes to full does Kixton! The bag piper sounded his instrument and we laid GG to rest. It will be a sad Christmas for us without Granda, but what an amazing holiday for him without suffering. He will also reunite with dad’s Nana Betty finally.
