So today Dad had to make his way back to work, after all, someone has to pay for this kids future! It was a bit of a rough night though, Kixton had a good feed right before bed and like most of us who fill our belly’s with that much food then head to bed, it tends to result in a sore stomach throughout the evening. In Kixton’s case, it did just that. He is realizing he can ‘grunt’ and that it may help his cause, so grunting to attempt to move some ‘product’ was his best attempt at soothing his sore belly. As for getting any sleep, well that seems a distance second for Kixton as well as his mom and dad. Kixton grunted for about 3 hours and both mom and dad tried their best to help his poor little tummy feel better.
With the morning coming sooner than it seemed possible, mom stepped up to the plate, yet again, and took Kixton in her arms and headed downstairs to let dad get some rest before his first day back. She is a true champ, no question there.

Morning came and dad was up-and-adam to head back to work. So many thoughts and crazy ideas running through his head as he got in the car and headed away from whom he had spent every second with the passed near three weeks… It was tough! Very tough.
The work day went well, lots of meetings and catching up on things, so the day managed to move pretty quickly. Of course at lunch, mom and Kixton paid a much needed visit to dad at the office! It was so amazing to just head out to the parking lot and hang with my now family for that 10 minutes.
Crazy how even the little things are changing with the addition of Kixton. The value of time, the value of time spent with the new family… This journey is going to be incredible.
